Laura Bertolacci was recommended to me and my attorney by one of the other attorneys involved with the probate process of an elderly friend’s estate and the sale of the family residence in San Mateo. We reviewed Laura’s webpage and bio, interviewed and talked with her at her San Carlos office, and reviewed the Comparative Market Analysis that she had prepared. As we worked through the list of our own observed problems and those documented in the property inspection reports, Laura brought in her experienced and reliable contractors and obtained realistic cost estimates and timely start dates. She then helped us decide which situations needed to be corrected, which would help to increase the marketability and sale price of the house, and which would best be left for the new owner to decide how they preferred to deal with the situation. Laura’s good judgement and marketing experience provided us with a winning strategy for making the property’s time on the market both active and productive by staging and showing the house for a short period of time, setting a deadline for submitting bids and a date for opening the bids. We received multiple offers and the property sold for substantially over asking. We found Laura to be easy to work with, organized, efficient and professional. We would highly recommend her.
